Semps a career and a root crown
Today it is 2 issues: first
Career of a Semps
I believe in each Sempervivum-gatherer garden there is a corner where the No-Names . Are It is usually hidden in the far corner, so they will not. And should, nevertheless, once lost a curious visitor there, he calls with a stern look: "No names ...?"
I already feel like I increase the redness in his head.
"So ... you too!"
relax for a tiny moment, I am again but then noticed my visitor a monstrosity: Labels with fancy names in the pots.
I know this is a mortal sin among collectors!
And then I stammer excuses such as 1000:
"Top secret, just for me, honest! , But I noticed no numbers, I must somehow Tag, I recognize it otherwise might not come back, but I must be able to talk to them ...
... I do it never again! "
And then I am ashamed in the land.
Actually, I collect no "no names" more. There are so many beautiful names for Semps that I do not want to do without them. But of the sins of my past there is any inventory.
For example, this plant:
that she is still with me to find good reasons why: it looks great, I've seen so far no comparable and it is very vital. So I've
in the nursery, where to proliferate. Without
name, of course!
name top secret!
In September 2010, then a group of Sempsfreunden came to the herbaceous plants. It was the "old and young hands" in the company of perennials
friends, Section Sempervivum,
which laid this year after their JVH Rheinhessen. Them was my "No name" immediately.
"What's her name?" I "? Uh ..."
were all agreed: "Such are second to none! ! You very much need a name
And finally, finally I was allowed to plead to her: Fanni her name
Fanni, Fanni, on Fanni with "i" at the end!
I would now appeal to "my" Fanni with the permission of the Division officially with the name!
On one condition however: "If, nevertheless, once found, the real and true name of Sempervivum, then the first given names or the name of the breeder and" my "Fanni should at most be called a synonym,"
honor the most important! but is that Fannie has finally made it into the garden to the named Sempervivum Majesties!
second Autumn wreath
October and November are the months in which I bind like wreaths.
This year I have tied a wreath, which I really like, a
roots with Wurzen wreath
I have taken roots of peonies and grass. They occur in the multiplication.
were still fresh, they tied around a wire ring. The Sempervivum I wrapped together in a small piece of earth root ball-cloth, so that the plants can be planted next spring. Around the entire wreath I have also placed a rag ball.
This wreath adorns the fall and then hopefully a one winter, the garden bench.
PS: now the roots are dried. And they still look beautiful.
That's it for this time in majoRahn Semper's corner.
Gets along well in the cold season.
